Is it possible to change my name on PayPal?

Discussion in 'PayPal' started by Cyber Criminal, Aug 4, 2010.

    I've registered on PayPal using my nickname ( not real name as in my bank account ). I've given my PAN code to that account already.

    Now, I want to change my name on my PayPal account so I can merge it with my bank account. But the name in my bank acc. & PayPal are quite different.

    • Is it possible to change my name on PayPal?
    • Else should I create a new one? what should I do if it asks for PAN code?

    Thanks,
    CC =]

    I think you need to call paypal and let them know that you have entered your nickname instead of real name by mistake at the time of registering. Maybe they help you further in this. Try it out.

    You can't change your name, unless its a variation of your real name. If it's completely different, forgot about it.

    You can change the name in Paypal provided it is legal (like change of surname after marriage/divorce or legally changed to a different name...you will have to submit valid documents to support it)

    You can also apply for corrections in Pan card....you need to apply for it with corrections and supporting documents.

    Yes you can change your name at PayPal. You need to provide some documents like photo id card and utility bill in order to do that. If they found everything legal, they will get your name changed over there. It'll take around 10-15 days for this process.

    Through online you can not change your name. You have to submit all documents to paypal office for change of name.

    I've uploaded my PAN card scan & sent to PayPal, getting response from bots :(

    Exactly! I can create a new account & transfer my money from old one to new account, but when I'm creating a new account... it's not accepting my PAN code as it has been given already to my old account.

    What should I do now? :(

    Nope. You can't remove entered Pan Card deails as there is no option for the same. Better you give them a phone call for this.
