    Beating Facebook is not impossible.Services of Google are amazing.But interface and the Name (people tend to think Google is only a search engine) will be their biggest problems.IMO,experiment like this will work well with the site like Yahoo.

    I think what might help google though is that they already offer so many free services, all under one login, as long as they keep improving google + then i think it will become huge before long, i predict an exodus from facebook to google + :)

    We use facebook for only few purposes like to get in touch with our friends and for business networking...whereas google we use any kind of information we need we get it on Google...Change in Google algorithm can be the major cause of fall in website ranking...

    I agree with you, Google+ grew so fast. but google is established company, facebook was not as popular as google is. thats why facebook took time to popularize themselves.
