Okay i have a adsense site making a decent amount with alot of competors in my ninche. Just today i noticed like 100clicks on my adds with only 3 pageviews in the very first few seconds of the update of the stats today. Is it possible that someone is doing that to my site in hopes that google bans me? And is it possible that google will ban me even though that is not my i.p address? PLEASE NO ONE ELSE GET ANY EVIL IDEAS LIKE THIS! thanks everyone ive been lurking in the forums for awhile but didnt have any real important questions to ask intill now so i just joined today.

Yes, it's very possible and is an underhand technique known as AdSense bowling/bombing. Google may still think you're involved with the clicks - a lot of people who get caught commiting click fraud don't actually use their own PC/IP address. You need to report this to AdSense Support immediately - tell them exactly what you've told us and you should be okay.

I guess this could be what happened to me.. the weekend before I got banned, my AdSense earnings were about four times higher than normal. I hadn't even heard of click-bombing so I naively assumed it was just a very good couple of days, maybe because I'd written some new content for my site, and didn't look any further into it...

Then suddenly Google banned me with no warning or proper explanation (and ignored my appeals), despite months of using AdSense with no problems, so I can only guess that's what happened.

It's scary to think Google's AdSense system is that flawed and easy to abuse that someone can get your account closed like that if they want to. Also that Google's stance towards its webmaster customers is very much guilty until proven innocent (but with little chance of proving your innocence).

missionimpossible I really hope you're lucky and manage to save your account from the itchy trigger finger of the ban button man..
