i just want to send the sms from my mobile by attaching it to the com port i need the php cod that can read text from the textbox in the form and the receiver Number and then open an connection to the "COM' port (the mobile attached to this port ) and send the "AT" commands that to the mobile which sends the sms. Is it possible using PHP? * i have the vb script to do that ,but i need it in PHP
why do you want to take so much efforts when you can directly send sms via http to any mobile across country? just take a paid service as per your requirement and get it runnning Using mobile on COM port and sending sms through it is advisable only when sms charges from mobile are 5 - 7 paisa per sms (I am talking about Indian scenario, you can relate it to your country's charges)
I am from Bangladesh. i am developing a software using php (cakephp) for Social Development Foundation (SDF). It will be run from internet and intranet both. Now my client(SDF) needs sends sms when some transaction occur. like: one person done saving/lending then software auto alert to some people via mobile sms.
