Is it possible?? Hostgator uses very old script releases

    Yesterday, I've seen that Hostgator's Fantastico automatic installer uses very old version of the scripts included, eg: Drupal 5.1 and Wordpress 2.2.1 :eek:
    It sounds strange because HG is consider one of the best hosting solution by many people..
    What do you think about ?

    It's possible they are behind on updating their Fantastico on the server your account is on and/or don't do automatic updates.

    Yes they dont update thier cpanel also they use the old one

    You can open a support request asking to update fantastico installation to get the new scripts.

    they must have forgot to upgrade yours, cause its 2.6.2 on my hostgator server

    My HG Fantastico scripts are all updated to the latest versions, maybe you turned off auto updates?

    No no, I've got no account at Hostgator.
    It's just a curiosity of mine.. you know, there's a lot of people that speaks about Hostgator, and it's strange to see that they are using old versions!
