Hello friends, I am seeing some bad things here on DP since 3 months or so.... First I faced a blackmailer who blackmailed to leave a negative itrade if I don't pay him for the domain which I did not buy. I just asked him details once about the domain and thats it.... he has sent pms asking me to buy and later started blackmailing me. Second, in partnerships ... i paid money for a scammer and lost it.... many were scammed on that thread actually. Third, gave service to a highly reputable member with no upfront and he has run away after I completed the work... waited for 2 months and left a negative itrade. Emailed him several times and he never answers me.... Forth, again gave service for a person and he did not pay me. I know scammers are everywhere, its our responsibility to be careful. I never blame DP.... Now, I have decided to quit my seo services and work on my own sites. I am doing affiliate marketing and its going well for me.... Digital point forums is one great resource for me which has actually taught me the IM, SEO and etc... so I am very grateful to the forum and members here, though i come across certain bad exps... i will just take them as lessons... I am actually making a living because of DP, since I started here few years back reading all the threads... etc sorry if i made you feel bore.. just wanna pore my thoughts
I'm not been scammed - but then I guess you just need to be careful who you deal with, online as well as offline.
I have been scammed twice when paying for ebooks, it only costed me $20 though. First scammer sold me a worthless ebook that was just plain bull**** talking about getting paid from 000webhost's affiliate program (LOL). The second scammer sold me his ebook, but he refused to deliver the crucial part which made it possible actually to use what his ebook told me to do. I no longer buy ebooks of DP, but I still make reviews for people. =)
Getting scammed is common on Internet as its full of scammers. Its better that you are doing things where there are no chances of getting scammed.
Thanks for sharing that. I have not been on this forum for a while until recently. In my writing business I always collect up front unless it's a customer I've worked with for a long time. Sometimes you feel bad asking for money upfront, but it's the safest way to go.
Neither do I, I never been scam here in DP though as a newly member I have encountered numerous of offers. But yea, being cautious can really help you not get scammed.
