Or should I find something else. Also does the order matter for example in english you would naturally say Word1word2 for example bluebottle(dot)fake but the domain bottleblue(dot)fake is cheaper. Will it hurt my search results to have the second cheaper phrase? Teach me.
it is totally okay. a hyphen (-) actually helps in SEO. and it is not a good idea to own the "bottleblue" kind of domain. I'd pay more to get the "bluebottle" ones.
Alright thanks. You guys are very helpful. I got one more question then is there anything wrong with having a site under the domain name keyword1-keyword2-keyword3 and also own the domain name actualtitleofcompany which is related but is just used as a redirect for your site. I'd love to host it under the domain that includes my keywords but be able to tell people I actually meet a name that is easy to remember.
keyword1-keyword2-keyword3 is one "-" too much for me. keyword1keyword2keyword3 would be preferable. actualtitleofcompany is doable but I don't see any real good use of it since it would be (usually) too long to remember. If your company name is short (<12 letters), then it's okay.
I also am searching for a similar answer and yes so far it seems that the dash in a domain matters not. I tried it for myself on a domain and am blown away as it is doing way better than I imagine it could. The largest mall in the world 'West Edmonton Mall' has the dotcom already taken but 'West-Edmonton-Mall' was not already gobbled up so I registered it and 2 weeks later I am already getting a couple hundred hits a week on it just based on the name of the domain alone. So yes, I would say the - in a domain name is not a bad thing.
