Is it okay for someone to steal your ezine article?

I just got an article approved by ezinearticles on a clickbank product and after one day someone posted the whole article on their site. They do give me credit for the article, but will this hurt me anyway for duplicate content?

If they do provide link to yours, that's not steal. If they do not, theirs is duplicate content.

IlovePPC - you are partly correct.

Even with a link posted it IS duplicate content, however it is not stealing.

Knowledge - yes they can post it as long as they credited you and posted all your requirements within the article. When you submit to such places as ezine that is where people ( like me ) go looking for specific article subjects to post on our web sites - hence giving us content and giving you a link back. Now to avoid YOU getting the dup content penalty - you need to be sure to post and SE the article on your web site FIRST before you hand it over to be spread all over the web ;)

I believe that that is the whole point of ezinearticles (or most of it) - people copying articles to their websites

"Copying" articles from Ezine is allowed as long as you keep the original article with all the links in the resource box.

But all search engines rank article in EzineArticles before any copied pages, so don't worry.

It will not hurt you in any way. If they are providing you the credits for your work, they are free to do this according to Ezine's TOS.

    Why you calling it steal?!!
    You must be happy:
    1- you get back link
    2- free advertising
3- he found your content is great to share

I hope others do that with all my articles..
