Is it ok to use affiliate links with adsense?

I currently have a nice site with adsense. Its only been a week and with free advertising I have got almost 2000 unique visitors and good visitor reviews. I only made 3$ of adsense though lol.

Im looking into adding affiliate links to the site but was wondering if google would ban me?

Also are there any certain types of affiliate links to stay away from? (I heard to stay away from online casinos)

I was going to ad some banner ads. Are these good or text link ones better?

    Thanks.

Your affiliate links should be related to theme of your website.

Its a good move from you to go to affiliate, since you have a high traffic.

Google do not banned sites with affiliate links.

yes you can use affiliate programs with adsense.

Generally the best performing affiliate programs are those 100% related to the topic of the page and are recommended within the article.

Banners generally don't perform as well as on topic links within an article.

Phew! I was worried my combination of Commission and Junction might get me banned from Adsense someday when they finally discovered it. To the OP - I'm making MUCH more with affiliate network text ads that are contextually placed in article text so best of luck to you too! Besically, when I added affiliate network ads in addition to adsense; the profits made me unconcerned about my false fear of getting banned from adsense.

You should use affilaite links and focus on that rather then on adsense if you have good targeted traffic.

    Cool thanks for the input.

If google haven't change rules you can use other affiliate links also. All you have to take care not to puz another text lin k advertiser on you site. You can put banners, in-text links,... but not another text link block. Lets say adsense+adbrite would get you banned. Adsense+ppm/pps/ppl/ppa network would work without problems.

Wow! With targeted traffic and well placed text ads, you could make potential make much much more than that with Commission Junction or other affiliate programs! I have extremely targeted organic SEO traffic but with one affiliate campaign alone i'm making about $40 a day (with only 25 clicks). While the situation is different, with 1900 views a day you have traumendous potential and with the right ad placement, you might be able to really turn your traffic into some substantial affiliate profit. Best of luck and please let us know how it goes... Take care.

It was actually 1900 in about a week so like 250 average a day. I signed up with CJ MN, and a few others but the only one that seems to have responded to me is More niche.

Why does it taske so long to get a response from most affiliate programs? I wish they would at least reject me for closure of something. Cant help feeling like they just identity theft with my info or something lol.

There is one perfect affiliate www.mmamoney.com but the poses wont respond to my appication or emails :-(.
