Is it OK to PM a Mod to close my thread?

    I did a search here to find out proper way to get my own thread closed, but the only result I found didn't appear to have an answer from a Mod, and I want to be sure to do it right.

    1) Is it OK to PM a Mod to close my thread?
    2) Should I use the "Report a Post" button or is that just for inappropriate posts?

    Just want to be sure. I know Mods are busy and want to do it right.

    I would recommend you Use the "Report a Post" Button to have a mod close your thread Just type close thread in the report Details.. it is more convenient to the mods because if they are like me they don't want to get hundreds of Pm's for something as simple as closing a thread....

    BTW you can find 'Report Post' button at your thread at top rightside corner just beside Reputation button.

    OK, Thanks everyone. I just wanted to be sure that the "Report a Post" button wasn't only for reporting inappropriate
    posts and was OK to use for closing my own thread.
    The message at the "Report Post" reads:
    "Note: This is ONLY to be used to report misplaced threads, spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts. " So I wasn't sure.
