Is it OK to give your Paypal Address to an unknown person?

Hello Friends !

I had an opportunity to talk to a person whom I never knew before. However, he has promised me lots of work with decent pay.

He has asked me basic info of myself including PAYPAL email address so that he can send me the payment after I complete his work.

Nothing wrong in the above, I have to give my Paypal address if I am to receive payment.

My question is WHETHER IT IS RELATIVELY SAFE TO GIVE YOUR PAYPAL EMAIL ADDRESS to ANYONE ? Can it be Mis used ?

The reason being, things have been pretty smooth with paypal for me. Iti is just the first interaction with him and I am not yet very much comfortable. Having read number of posts here about scams and other stuff, I am bit scared. I do not want somebody to meddle with this smooth functioning.

Infact he has also asked my personal data. Though I have mentioned my age, but did not tell my date of birth yet...

Exactly, you can give them your paypal address, but that's it, don't tell them any other info cause they might try to steal your acc.

and make sure your password is different each time you create an account

not each time you create paypal account buddy but another account such as email password, forum password, etc

 

If it is for any kind of payment, it would be a good idea to do the 'Create Invoice' from Paypal.

 

no problem at all if you give only yor adress its not a problem
