Feedback is it ok to give iTrades for Review Copies?

just wondering ...

1- if i gave some review copies of my e-book to some members:

Can i give iTrades to the Reviewer?

2- if some member gave me a review copy and he already gave me an iTrade is it ok to give him one back?

1) iTrader is not to be exchanged for freebies.
If it was we would have every Tom, Dick and Harry giving away ebooks (or offering to review ebooks) purely to get massive iTrader. I can think of other problems too - if they give you an honest but poor review are you going to give them a negative iTrader? It's a potential minefield.

Ok, it's not a freebie, someone is trying to make a sale he offered some review copies ...

this is not a 100% for free, he is selling it.

anyway, i guess that won't change the case.

Normally the review copies are free and therefore don't qualify for iTrader. If there's a valid cost involved with the review copy, (ie say $10 for a review copy compared to $25 for a normal copy) that would be a different story.

Mind you I'm not a mod and anything I say isn't official.

 

1. If you got the review copy (or gave it away) for free or for less than $5, then no, you may not leave iTrader.

2. If you paid more than $5 for the review copy (note: $5.01 and anything similar will not change our perception of the value), then you may leave iTrader.
