Is it ok for a harddrive to reach 70 c?

    just wondering because mine is at 65 c right now
    my harddrive is: maxtor 6l040j2

    I feel 70 degrees is a bit high as I have never heared of this before.I feel you have an age old computer. If yes, then its high time you better change it or the part that is resposible for malfunctioning.
