Times Displayed 1045 Number of Clicks 0 Is it normal so many times displayed and ZERO clicks? Should I change my banner? Thanks!
It depends. How many visitors go to that site? But, yes, it is probably normal. One-quarter to one-half of a percent of a site's visitors click on ads.
interesting. I'd be curious to see what the banner looks like so I'd know what NOT to use as a design. Banners have to be really good to get clicks these days I thinks.
Yea i would love to see the banner....does it look cheap? Or is it nice and glossy with a mirror image? and what is the banner promoting? maybe its totally off subject from where it is being displayed at??
I don't know Chewie. ... How many daily visitors are you getting? Are you getting a 1,000 hits? According to what is being shown, it will be just a couple of clicks, if that. Sex, humor, pictures, and any site people can waste time at while at work get more clicks. Do the math.
Hi! I tried to put the URL, But I can't. I don't know why. When I can, I will show you the banner. The site was launched 3 days ago, I am getting in average about 15 uniques daily.
just type the domain.com - can't really advise without seeing the big picture. 15 uniques a day very very low, I wouldn't count on much just yet. If you run a banner exchange chances are it's a farm of crappy designed/non-aimed banners. What's the site about? You're better off finding an aff program with a great marketing/affiliate resource with great relevant targeted products they sell... Also what's your goal? Monetizing the traffic or just using the B.E. to get yourself more traffic? if it's the latter then re-evaluate, your site should be getting traffic from your efforts of promoting it in ANY AND EVERY way possible. This forum is a goldmine for how/where/etc., banner exchanges are horrible imo, understand the principles of the big picture first, do some heavy reading and perhaps take a marketing/IM course/read ebooks on how to get and monetize customers/clicks. Best of luck to you. NC.
Where are you displaying the banner? If you are using a banner exchange network (which is what I'm gathering), chances are that your banner is not being placed in front of targeted consumers. Your banner could be placed on a gaming site or some other site that is not relative to yours. Traffic and banner exchanges do not fly for me. Furthermore, your placement on these exchange sites may not be optimal. If your banner has nothing to do with a banner exchange, please disregard. Finally, if you do use a banner, consider using a flash banner.
Your banner isn't showing from the address you gave. You need to find out which sites it is being displaying at. If they don't tell you, don't do business with them. In fact, why aren't YOU doing this??? And, again, you have to do the math.... If your banner is being shown at, say, 50 sites, and you divide that in the number of clicks you have received so far, you are either not going to get the clicks, or just a few. Remember...only one-quarter to one-half click on ads.
