I know it is possible to submit a blogger blog sitemap to webmaster tools as feed /rss.xml or atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=100 is it necessary I think it may be harmful
I personally submit standard xml sitemaps. If you use wordpress or any other mainstream scripts they tend to have addons/modules that do this for you. Most pieces of blog software also ping major search engines and blog syndicaters when new posts appear. It can be beneficial to enable this. hen I post within a coupld of seconds the major search engines are already crawling the page.
i am very much sure that there is no need for submitting sitemap for bloggers , for others i havn't try much but for bloggers you did not need to submit xml feed sitemap , ok
usually i post xml site maps for auto bots and html sitemaps for the humans i got this idea from here so that to this forum
if its a blogspot, for free wordpress blog url then you need not to submit sitemap whereas if you have your own domain then its require having a xml sitemap and submit the same in google webmaster tool
