Seems an odd thing today but my GF asked me "Anything new on the forums" whilst i was jst reading this section and my reply was simply.... no then she goes, its always no and lets face it: Link building from: Websites Blogs (make um yourself on diffrent ips or buy them) natural (never happens) link building social book marking (being the newist thing) directories blog commenting forum posting craiglists (fairly new i guess) Have been the same topic of convosation since the dawn of my accout here... is there anything new? Has anyone found a better way? All i have learned from repeating this processis how to do more aspects i can now: Design, Build, Write for and build backlinks for a site selling what ever i like (lets face it adsense is damn near dead these days) before when i started i could only write content. Finding niche keywords is a skill i guess but that doesnt take a long time in the field to figure out, unless your unfocused and try and run after every new forex/water4gas thing you hear.... So my question is.... whats new?
This isn't totally new but it seems to becoming more common lately. I have found that I can post an article which targets a specific long tail term on certain sites and get it to rank in Google's top 5 within 30 minutes! Now if I can just find a practical use for this......
See lol we jsut refine the same techniques never finding new ones, i build a 5 page website in 2 hours had it in search engnes in a day and sold 2 products in 5 more... refinement... but nothing new.
I'll tell you something new. In the last week, google seems to be rewarding exact match domains much more than it was before.
I agree to your post to some degree, but there are plenty of people who are just barely getting into SEO. To them some of the techniques/strategies you've mentioned are relatively new. Just enjoy that you have something that is working for you... Good luck.
lol, so true....Google has a new update, Caffine.... Besides that you culd always start to work on ways to optimize Waves (wave.google.com) because that may or may not be the next big thing....
I have just started using a pingback system. "site map can actively report (ping) new or modified items to google.com, yahoo.com and other services." And it is awesome. Every time I update my sites, Google updates it's index in like a few hours. Here is the wikapedia definition. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pingback First I want to say I don't know anyone associated with the project and won't benefit by this link in any way. But, I have a pingback system running on a Joomla site. The plugin is here if u want to read more about it. sefservicemap.com And here is my site that runs it. seo.4spark.com/marine-supplies-new-london-ct.html And I have no real idea how it works but it does. I have only been interested in SEO for about 2 years so if someone knows that pingbacks have been used for a long time, please correct me. Hope someone enjoys!
I get your drift.. it gets a bit boring to hear the same ol' things, PPC, SEO, Affiliate Marketing, Twitter. I am fairly sure that until the internet changes its form, the rest of the users of the internet will have to use the same form also. Mobile is nice... but still developing. Hmmm.. gave me an idea.. Mobile SEO ?
Well. Recently rel=nofollow attribute's behaviour changed (or the change was announced, the actually change happened more than a year ago). Some time ago all search engines agreed on rel=canonical Good introduced 'address change' in webmaster tools. Dofollow profile links are the new craze, and some people have re-branded social media link building as LinkWheel. A lot of new things happening here, you just need to keep up
As of now, there's no new technique coming in. It all fall down to content and links The ranking strategy all depends on how you will perform those techniques.
Nofollow lost a lot of us some tasty link. Now the microblogging cosmos has opened up some doors to quicklinks
Yup you can say it that way that there's nothing new in SEO but the whole idea behind SEO is to make your website user and search engine friendly providing something that is useful and if you do that people will link to you themselves this is the most basic thing behind SEO.
Well, with search engines becoming smarter and smarter, there's less and less new tricks coming out to fool the engines. This results in that the only thing that remains are tried and true principles of SEO.
The algorithm is changing after every short time so first it takes time to analise and then implement the changes and if we are utilizing proper strategies then we don't need to take much efforts.. I did not implemented any changes or took extra efforts for optimizing my blogs in relation to bing but i am having pretty good traffic from there as well... Just use ethical strategies and proper seo.. no need to take much efforts..
