Is it legal to unlock your mobile phone?

    I have a client interested in create a site about unlocking phones, but first i want know if is it legal sites where you pay to unlock your mobile phone?

    It is questionable and it could be a breach of the contract with the phone provider. This could result in the company suing the site or the customer.

    i think not legal . but phone company don't do anything because when you unlocked it it means more costumers and buyers , that is what happened with HTC and Iphone .

    There is nothing illegal about unlocking your cell phones in the US. You bought the hardware and are allowed to do with it as you choose. And as long as you don't violate the network access rules or your service provider contract there is nothing wrong with doing an unlock. What happens after you unlock the phone is an entirely different matter.
