    Hello,

This may sound really really basic so i appologise :)

I am thinking of setting up a wallpaper website for cars (Not too original I know... but ties in with my brand)....

In terms of content, i'd want to take wallpapers from the official website and attribute a link to the site.

Do I need to contact the car company before posting the wallpapers?
Are there any potential legal issues with me posting wallpapers from these companies?

    Thanks

    A

You need to look at the terms and conditions of each site that you take a wallpaper from. If the site expressly grants a license to republish the wallpaper on your own site, then you are OK. Otherwise, it violates the copyright of the copyright holder (which is probably the car company in your case, but could be the photographer or even someone else).
