Hi all, I'm wondering is it legal to copy the content of some forum posts ? for ex. I found here great comments and I'd like to quote some of them in my blog Thank you very much in advance
Not really legal. Posts on a forum are considered the property of the site owner just like any other content is on a regular site. The best way to do this is copy an excerpt on your site and link back to the original post. That is the best way to keep from getting into any trouble.
however, links and providing credit do not give you immunity from copyright suits. You must have the express written permission from the sites owner. Now, most sites will allow you to do this in exchange for the link.
I wouldn't copy someones forum posts. What you might consider doing is giving a teaser in your own words and linking to the full post.
To make that legal, i suggest ,just PM the commenter, poster content owner ask for the permission. Else, I believe only linking to the post is legal. or Partial of te post for the purpose of criticize or giving opinion should be considerfair use in most country.
I dun see why it is not legal. Say someone posted some good comments about an affiliate site and you are also an affiliate. When you copy his and other forum posters comments, you can said something along these lines. This software will skyrocket your sales. I've used it and found it very effective. Here are the comments of others who are in total agreement with me - U dun have to mention the identity of the posters.
