Is it Legal to Copy Content from a Website?

Not at all. Maybe you could spin content by using some free website, tool or paid service..... That works for SEO

Your friend simply misleading you with false and creepy suggestion. Copying others content can put you on risk. You will face serious copyright issues and in some cases your hosting account get suspended if your host receive a DMCA notice. So, beware of copying content. Better create your own.

 

spin only change the words with the synonyms by using different algorithms. Use phrases to re-write the whole article or the content. On the other hand you should mention the reference about the writer for the link baiting.

 

If can write fresh contents or articles for your website or blog. You should do so. It will take some time. but the time has more worth

 

I am little confused becuase 50 percent peoples said that you can copy content and other said their is no issue if I write the reference.. ?

 

if your website fall in news category then this can be possible the content can't get more explore on news site but if you copy and post it on your website with reference add.then it will be good for both of you.

 

From the eyes of the law, It is NOT illigal since there is reference. However, you WILL jeopardize your google ranking depending on how much content on your website is copied.
