Is there any law that says that they cannot hold more than 180 days.

Freelancers are using Paypal right? Is it okay if I will use bank accounts instead of paypal?

Paypal is not a bank and are not regulated like the High Street banks so they can do what they want.

After 180days you will receive an e-mail from them asking you to withdraw the funds into your bank account.

If they don't then ring them as a reminder and it will get sent.

Been there and done it....Came in handy when I received it after 180days as it was a week before Xmas

If they do not release your money within the year, you should contact a lawyer.
