Since the crisis happened I almost stopped receiving the spam-marketing emails from "marketing gurus". For the last 2 weeks I probably got only a few of them. Looks like "big" guys are in the process of creating new schemes
Probably spammers cannot even afford to hire a single person to carry out their work.....after all, these are truly very tough times.... Regards, RightMan
They're still coming at me hot and heavy. Usually several are very active for a period and then the next group picks up were they leave off. It's just a never ending cycle.
The new kind of spam I am getting are emails from people offering expired domains or a match of your domain. They got your info from the whois database. Beware of these people.
I have recently relegated many gurus into my spam folder. I think the recession is hitting them as well and they are going hog wild with the promotional emails.
Not only gurus have ceased their activities. My spam levels started to descend on around October last year. Where I previously received around 100 messages a day, now it is down to 15 or so. It's not only the crisis, I guess - many providers are going harsh on spammers. But then, have you noticed that the remaining gurus are trying to use the crisis as their pivotal point for a marketing message. I've seen many going like: "hey, in the daunting time of crisis, create some stability for your family, I'll show you how my system can make you dosh in a niche where there is no dosh" LOL And another point. Have you noticed how the potential income rises as the crisis deepens? I mean, some time ago they said "send me cash and I'll show you how to make $2,000 a month". Now the same guys hiding under different nicknames are saying "send me lots of cash and I'll show you how to make a million" Oh, what a bunch of *!
I have seen a little decrease in getting emails. there are still a couple of the gurus that are quite persistent. I'm a member of a private money making society online. Want to join me? http://dwm15768.maverick66.hop.clickbank.com
You might want to see if your ISP put in some new spam filters around the time that you stopped getting all of the spam. That is the most likely reason for the drop. I have not seen any let up at all, but I did a while ago when I switched emails to a new provider.
