Is it just me, or is everyone else much more productive overnight?

It's 4:16 am right now (here, at least), and I haven't slept. Nor I intend to.

The reason is, and I noticed this a long time ago, that I am much more productive when working so late (or early, since it's already morning). I don't know, but when there's daylight, it takes me much more time to build a website, but when it's 12pm, 1am, 2am, 3am, ... I can develop 1 or 2 full websites overnight!

I don't drink coffee or anything...

And the next mornings (I have been like this for at least a week), I don't feel tired at all .

Well, as soon as I lay my head on a mattress I fall asleep and no one can awake me, but hey - it makes me more than twice as productive:rolleyes:

So, is it just me, or not?

I do work better late night aswell, there are less distractions / problems.

Problems that you do come accross you stive harder to resolve rather than leave them till tomorrow.

However it will catch up on you! Ha!

yeah, sooner or latter your internal body clock will messed up, you feel great at night, but always feel sleepy in the morning. you can always work as security guard though.

    lol, yeah.

I know it will catch up. It has already happened to me.

I was foolish enough to try get as close as possible to the world record of spending 11 days without sleeping.

I had a friend calling me every hour making sure I wasn't asleep. I had to pick up within 2 rings. I spent a total of 5 days and 4 nights without sleeping. Mostly working (ironically, one of my most successful sites came out of that venture). by the third day, I could barely write well, so I couldn't work as effectively. I couln't even talk properly on the phone. I was so sleepy, that one time my friend called me like he was supposed to. I smashed my cellphone :) (I had to replace it anyways :p). I remember going to the bathroom to "clean up" a little, and I don't know how I ended up with Listerine on my eye. It hurt, it really, really hurt.

But, I managed to stay up one more night due to a wonderful discovery: Starbuck's Frapuccino. Delicious! I was about to last one more day, but the 5th day, it was 7am, and I thought "I'll just get a couple of minutes of sleep". I put on my alarm right next to my ear to go off 30 minutes later... I woke up at around 8am... of the next day :p

I am the exact opposite - I am most productive in the early morning (7-10am), and then I slowly lose steam as the day goes on. I rarely work past 6pm - I'm spent by then!
