I'd be extremely happy with $800-1000 per month. As is, I generally get between $100 and $300. Comparative, I just sold a house that was renting for about $450 a month and will be renting out a new one for $1200 a month, and I can tell you the houses are less work. I must say, I do like passive income in all its forms.
during my studies i start work on adsense and now after competing my graduation i am still working with adsense and i am happy with earning and i didn't need to find a job.its been 2 year to completing my graduation.
Top adsense earners: http://www.bukisa.com/articles/313236_top-5-adsense-earners-make-more-than-100000-per-month One can make as much money as he wants but one should not relay on Adsense alone.
Stable online earnings is important before you leave your job. And just don't rely on adsense only, its too risky to put all your eggs in the same basket. My suggestion would be to carry on with your job and side by side outsource your adsense stuff. All you need is few good websites with proper keyword research, tones of content and then feed them with backlinks. You can do keyword research on your own, then outsource the content and backlinks part. This way at least you'll not be taking the risk of finding yourself nowhere after leaving the job and getting nothing out of adsense or other online earning sources.
If you are earning $1000 month as salary. And if you get $5000 per month for next month , continuously from Adsense. then leave the Job. Even u earn less than it , in a particular month , don't leave the Job. Atleast by job u get fixed income. Adsense is not full time job, so its not necessary. If you want to get involve in Online Stuff... They try above rule. All The Best
It is possible to make big cash with Adsense... but google can slap you any time (they are known for doing that) and you're out of the run.
Leaving Job Is stupid thing.i am still managing my site even i am software engineer working for 9hours in office.Job Gives the identity.Don't quite your job.
... and they might spend thousand to promote their site in return. i found adsense master selling ebook claiming thousand income each day, but they never mention the cost they spend. fishy!
i wouldnt leave your job if adsense is your only source of income, dont put all your eggs in one basket.
at start you should have it as a part time and when you are sure that i am realy in in it then you can leave your job for it .
About 2 years ago my combined online income (not just Adsense) was $12,000 - $14,000 per month and I ALMOST quit my job, but I didn't, and I'm glad. Things move fast in the online world - almost overnight my earnings dropped by 1/3.. That's still very good $, but had I quit my job i would have been hurting.. I say, milk the job and consider your online earnings as icing on the cake...
At your stage I dont suggest quitting your day job. I have a regular government job with a pension so that forces me to stay. lol but if I made 10,000 a month for 2 years I might be tempted to do it.
I quit my job long time ago (about 9 years ago) then I worked freelance for a few years maybe my last customer was in 2004. And since then I live on online money, adsense being a major part, but only because I've spent most of my efforts developping adsense earnings, I could have developped other sources of income such as affiliates programs (CPA) and then it would be my main earner. Quitting the job, yes of course, but NOT when you don't have money Me I always had money, when I was working, then when I was working freelance and then little by little I had less and less customers as my online earnings were growing, I refused jobs and then finally I cut bridges between me and my former customers. So now nobody is bothering me, no boss, no customers, no work "colleagues" either, except people on forums hahaha. So first develop your earnings until AT least $20-30 a day, then you can think better if you still want to give your time / your life to someone else and call him your boss for some shit monthly money.
