NO IM NOT SELLING DRUGS IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM.

I run a free email site and ran multiple domains on it.
Alot of users are fine with the domains i had been using...BUT i added a few new domain names (references to marijuana strains/paraphanelia).
I was not selling anything more than added space and features on the site as well as running ads.
I received emails from some users complaining about the domains and i told them if they are not using that domain for their email it should not effect them and i apologized.
Now when i added these new shady domains my traffic and signups BLEW UP it was great BUT.. all of a sudden i got hassled by everyone, my ads were in jepordy of being banned or suspended and even my host suspended my site for violating the TOS?
Does anyone know of a webhost that doesn't mind refrences to drugs or an ad company that allows content like this?
I want to separate the 2 sites as quickly as possible ;)

should post in the webhost section you will get alot more help there. i cant see why it would be illegal as you are just telling people about the drugs, not actually selling it.

It shouldn't be a problem since you have an informational website. The policy is different from host to host just read the fine print to determine a suitable one.

It's illegal to promote but it's not illegal to discuss it.

Try the "adult" hosts and advertisers. They tend to be a little less straitlaced... ;)

i don't even know if it's illegal to "promote," but actually illegal to sell, possess, use, etc.

Depends on where the server is located. In the UK I think the main problems would be whether your sites encouraged or assisting a criminal activity (be it the possession or consumption or drugs).

Assuming you live in the US simply using domain names that relate to illegal drugs doesn't come close to breaking any law. You could be using it for any number of purposes. You need to look at the TOS of your individual advertisers to see if it breaks their rules. If it is making your users angry for no good reason I see no reason to use names that offend them.

Just ask your Web host directly... don't beat around the bush. Just ask them.

I wouldn't "promote" it... give information and discuss it but NEVER promote it... most web hosts will terminate your account for it... so, just ask them... it doesn't hurt to ask ^_^
