I don't believe hub pages will work better than directory submission for ranking.I know hub pages can give the traffic.
they are totally different. you can submit to hundreds or even thousands of directories but hard to create that many hubs. if your question is whether one hub is better than 100 directory submission or not, then the answer is may be. if you have one really good hub with good traffic and backlinks, then one hub can send you better link juice and more traffic than 100 directory submissions. however, if you have only a few listing in the top 3-5 directories like yahoo, dmoz, botw, business directory, etc then it can be better than 1000 other directory submission or dozen hubpages.
Don't be picky, use the best of both worlds and hope that the competition are being the picky ones and just using one option.
When you want to do link building for your site jsut remember each back link is valuable direcotry submission is different and hubpage iws different they has different advantage booth are Good but if you do mixed up link building it;s always good
In my experience this is how they have worked for me. 1. Ezine articles - High authority and rank very well, takes time though to get them published. 2. Hubpages - I have had a couple of hubs rank well but more work involved. 3. Articlebase - They rank well but still not better than Ezine or Hubpages 4. Goarticles - They can rank well but the fact that it's posted immediately makes it look bad as spam.
Both are totally different. Once you create a hub in hub pages it will crawl and indexed by google very quickly and will send amount of traffic and pass link juice. While in directory submission it will take a time on terms and conditions according to the directory and pass quite traffic on site. Only DMOZ, Yahoo and Business directory is better.
Hubpages is better than directory submission, if you create quality content on hubpages then u can get a huge quality links.
Hi. I created a Hub page and the links in the page where Indexed almost intermediately in the contrary I submitted my site to many directories and still can find the link index.
I would say that directory submission is better, especially if you get some good submission software. I think there is a good one from Bryxen software. Hubpages does confer authority, and that should be considered as well.
Why not do both? Directory submit is easy to outsource, or get a software, creating a hubpage a/c and upload your content is easy too. But hubpage seems to have very strict editorial guideline..
You cannot compare hubpages with directories submission. Hubpages is a web 2.0 site that allows user generated content so you can post your article or blog post and gain a backlink out of it. But directory submission aims to spread only your url and short description around to thousands of directories so you can get some backlinks. You cannot directly compare the two as their modalities are different. But both help in obtaining backlinks.
