Hello.. I just took an awesome domain for a freelancer website which im planning to start.. Now im a bit confused,after thinking about the payments,deposits,escrow systems,etc.. Is it very tough to manage all this stuffs and keep a record of it ?? Help me and guide me up..
I think it should not be too different. there are scripts to handel nearly everything. all you need to do is make sure you have a good scripts which allows you to handle everything allown or with a small team first before you make the *big* money
Hello - Success can be modeled. Take a look at how guru.com, elance.com, rentacoder.com conducts their business. Take a look at those websites. See from the buyer end (and/or should you know someone) how a seller of their services - what the sites look like from their point of view. Dissect the business into chunks. It's the process (mapping out the steps) that will allow you to model your business successfully and without making too costly errors. Note: errors WILL be made - it's just that you want to minimize your risk. Also - when handling escrow or anything LEGAL get the proper representation (ie: lawyer). I can't begin to tell you how many would-be VERY rich entrepreneurs have gone the cheapy-cheapy route and got sued - and because they used some generic law form they got fried - lost lots of money.
