Learning Photoshop is actually a challenge if your trying to learn everything, but if your trying to learn a few things, then it could be easy (depending on what you're trying to learn). Even though my website wasn't made in Photoshop (www.baracuu.com), the skills from that software transferred over into Adobe Illustrator, which was the software used to build the graphics for the site. Even the idea for my website, which was focused on drawing for beginners and using topics like extrinsic motivation for drawing, drawing tools, and basic shapes that artist need to know, started in Photoshop and transferred over into Illustrator. It's only hard if you're lazy. Hope This Helped
Photoshop is a huge thing. Which includes from Logos, web designs, flyers, brochures etc to professional film color grading to image manipulation. So just focus on the part which you are learning if you try to learn everything in one night, than my friend you will end up asking the same question couple months later.
At already stated, you should start with tutorials on youtube. Maybe also read blogs about it. Find out who you need to follow to improve your skills!
@Opa12 is Correct. Photoshop is a very handy program to know how to use. I would highly recommend learning it. Once you have learned the basics and what the main tools are used for, it is quite a breeze to learn. Patience is key!
Photoshop is a great tool, but, as for me, it is too "professional" for most of the cases. For example, it is possible to use free Paint.net to deal with simple tasks. It works with transparent images, so it is quite enough for wide range of issues. But if you have enough free time, it is better to study something more advanced.
I don't think it's really difficult to learn how to work in photoshop. Everything depends on your purposes, if you want to become a great ollustrator, then probably you have to learn and practice a lot. However, if we are talking about just simple actions in photoshop, then you can learn them by couple of days. In my opinion, there is nothing difficult in photoshop as well as in any other similar program. If you have a true desire to acquire some skills in something, you will probably gain them. The main here is to make efforts and always try to improve these skills. Just never give up actually.
But it is not because Photoshop is the best tool for editing photos, making composites and other stuff like this for digital use but if you are doing this for printing purposes then Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW are the best tools to work with.
I am self taught, have been working with Photoshop now for several years. I wouldnt consider it hard to learn really, just need to stay motivated
Its not easy but its not rocket science but to get to advanced things then you need to strugle a little more
In this day and age of online video tutorials, this is very easy. You can learn basically anything you want. You just need to give it some time. Of course, you can't just watch the videos, but you also have to try it over and over again. It depends on what level of photoshop you want to learn. You can master the basic functions in a few hours. But deeper knowledge requires weeks or months of study.
The basics are really easy, but mastering and everything can be a bit hard especially if you're not enjoy it
