If your job is making banners and brochures, I'd focus on mastering InDesign and Illustrator -- vectors are better for print; Photoshop is purely a bitmap graphics/photography tool. GMetrix helps with this, but I'm not sure how much licenses cost. Source: I'm an Adobe Visual Design Specialist Certified Associate.
There's no way to learn Adobe Photoshop in 2-3 days. You might learn a few things but that's about it. If you have previous experience with a similar program like GIMP, then you'll adjust to Photoshop fairly quickly... but even then, it will still take many months.
In my opinion the basis of learning Photoshop is to first get to grips with layers. Layers are the hardrock of the program but they are confusing to newbies. You will find though that it will suddenly click. Take all you can in on Youtube tutorials about Layers and thats a great start to understanding other stuff. Forget being creative at first just consume the basics. Looks daunting but once you get sucked in, you will be surprised in what you can learn. Good Luck This graphic I created using many layers. Will give you the idea of how important Layers are. Many elements of this graphic are on their own layer in order to work on one part of the graphic without interfering with another. For instance the frame is on its own layer and so is Messi, as well as the badge etc

Since you're in hurry to learn, what you should do is go to "help" in photo shop itself and search by typing what you want to do. Since it is poster you intend designing, use the ready made templates found in Photoshop to do it. I never bothered much with Photoshop as I am okay with Microsoft Publisher in Ms Office.
