Is it good to accept paid text links?

Yup! You said it right bro. I think your words should be capitalized in bold & marked in red for those who get scared from google.

IMO I don't see how a link advertising a casino website is any worse than an AdSense ad advertising a casino website - As long as it's clearly marked as a sponsored link.

I would not suggest to post casino link on your site if your site is not related to casino, if it is related to casino then you can post few..

If your site is related to or about casinos, then you can write a few articles referring users to the paid text link, and search engines won't mind since your site is about or related to casinos. Sports betting is within the same broad field of gaming, I suppose, so it won't be so bad. Make sure you don't just post the paid link on a part of your site. Within an article would be better, and make sure the paid text link is a no follow.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Thanks for all the responses. My site is a specific sports site, not a casino site.

In summary I think this is what I've learned:
    A) Link to casino sites only if they are quality sites
    B) Use nofollow
    C) Make the links look natural, as it benefits both parties
    D) Don't use terms like sponsored or advertising
    Any other tips or thoughts?

Does anyone have anything to say about the actual amount per text link?
Ie: I can get up to $120 for one. Good, bad, average?

    Hello

I'm currently selling Text Links for gambling-related sites. I sent you this email as you do seem to be familiar with the importance of having good and relevant back links.

Our sites are relevant to online casinos / poker rooms / bingo sites and are content-rich with nil or less than outbound links on all pages of the website.

The links are placed on the preferred location of page(s) selected by the buyers. All our sites have different IP's so that each link counts as a back link for your website. Hence you get search engine marketing benefits too. Our links are available to purchase for one year or six month subscription. If you are keen on buying links at extremely reasonable prices, do email me and I will reply with the list of
Url's along with their subscription prices.

Thanks and have a nice day

Despite the fact that links trade violates Google policy, paid links especially for gambling, travel and pharmacy niches are in demand. Consequently, it still has sence to place paid links and earn money.
Of cource you should follow the rules mentioned above in order to prevent the site from penalizing.
By the way, I heard something that Google changed or is going to change algorithm...there were a lot of talks about it 2 days ago.

You can post links on your site whether it is paid link... make sure it is relevant, it looks natural and it shouldn't be too many.

I believe its only good if you can see the site they're posted on and if theres no more than 10 outbound links on the page.

As per Google Search Engine policies all the paid links will be considered as NoFollow backlinks, so there is no use of creating and wasting money on paid links.

How much is your site worth to you in advertising and Adsense dollars? Just think about it, because that's how much money you will lose when Google catches you. And, do you really think these guys will buy paid links from you again once your site slips in Google? If you really want to sell the links (and sounds like you do), then at least get another site as back up money maker. Cause that's the one you'll have left when your current site slips.
