    Hey,

Will you go with $0.01 per 1000 impression ? what do you think about the price for 1000 impression. I mean spending money on advertising based on 1000 Impression

    Thanks

If it's this cheap something is probably wrong with it. I dislike the idea of paying for impressions because I do not think it's an effective form of marketing.

Pay per action is a good way to go.

Paying by the impression is ok but only if there is a way for you to CONFIRM the number of impressions/views on your ads. Maybe by having them pull your banner or transparent 1px image from your host and then double checking the access logs??

    Be wary.

1000 random proxy bot hits for 1 cent each is what I think this probably amounts to.

I am not so concerned about whether this is true or not, but to answer the OPs question I need more information.

Would I pay .01 per 1000 impressions. Where are the impressions? I mean if I am selling dog toys and the impressions are coming from people who are searching for I don't know edible underwear. I am not going to be willing to pay even .01 cpm.

I know an extreme example. But the point is, just because it is cheap doesn't make it a wise investment. What is the ROI?

Also, what is the average cost of acquisistion you currently pay? What is the lifetime value of a customer? By knowing this and more it is easier to decide how much to pay for a client.

Great point... it is all about the ROI and good ROI only comes when you targeting the right customers. But hey, maybe Dogs would like the edible underwear=).

I'm sure you could find someone selling low quality traffic that cheap. It may in fact be a legitimate offer without any scams involved. HOWEVER, the question you should be asking, is not how cheap you can buy this advertising, but how effective the campaign will be.

Paying $10 CPM ($10 per 1000 impressions), while having a ROI of over 100% will be a much more lucrative media buy than purchasing $0.01 CPM impressions if your ROI is lower.

A good media buy is one that targets an audience that is interested in purchasing your product or service, and one that will generate more revenue then the cost of the campaign. If you are spending more money advertising then you make in revenue, it is a failure, regardless of how low the rate is.

That is very cheap and well worth it if the quality of the traffic is alright. But personally I would prefer a company to pay me money for them advertising my site if the traffic is very poor in that it's all robot traffic. The reasons for this is because it just wastes your bandwidth, slows your site down, etc.

So make sure the traffic quality is up to scratch. Personally for that price I would have doubts.

impression isn't a view though remember. Just because your ad appears doesnt mean that ppl will be interested. Realistically you will get a 3% CTR?
