I have had my cb account since 2006 but I did not really start doing well with them till last year. This year has been really good but I have started to have concerns that something bad is going to happen to cb (like it been shut down by the ftc) and I might be affected (maybe even fined). I try to promote only products I think have value and try to avoid things related to unlimited downloads, paid surveys etc. I only started having this fear when I started making good money with cb and I have been forced to abandon some of my most profitable campaigns because I thought the products were overhyped but the fear is still there and it seems like the only way to get rid of it would be to leave clickbank as a whole. so my questions are do you think there is anything could wrong with clickbank sometime in the future? and do you think I am just been affected by fear of success?
I wouldnt worry one bit about this. If clickbank was to get fined for distributing illegal materials it would definitely not affect the affiliates. They will have the BIG FISH so why bother with the small ones. I seriously doubt they would chase down 100,000 affiliates and try to fine them Just relax and keep making nice money!
Hmmm... Worst case scenario is when CB is shut down. But I don't think they will be. Why? They've been around for years and have had much success defending their business model. In addition, if CB is shut down (very unlikely), there are still other players who will be happy to take the void.. lol
When good things happen humans have a natural tendency to think about something bad and that's the phase you are going through right now. But here is a fact and the real definition of fear- FEAR= F- FALSE E- EVIDENCE A- APPEARING R- REAL With time you will realize that 90% of the things you fear actually never happen.
When ever man have fear he don't give his 100%, And after giving 100% he never face fear. In my opinion, you must diversify with other networks like cj, shareasale. You know how to make campaign profitable just try to replicate it with other affiliate networks.
I don't think there'll be anything wrong with CB in the near or far future. They change their policies every now and then to cut down on spammy vendors and borderline/illegal copyright infringements (like brand names, logos and file sharing), but there's plenty of other markets out there which are completely legitimate.
You'll always see threads about clickbank doing this and doing that. You'll see accusations of them screwing everyone over. In the end, we move past it and continue to make money. Sure, most of us have weird things happen to our clickbank accounts. But sometimes we don't make sales for crazy reasons. You'll be fine with clickbank. In the end, make sure you create your own products.
