Hi all, SEO is used for promoting web site's ranking with some targeted keywords.We can't see immediate result in SEO like other jobs.If you work with poor keywords then there is a certain chance to get in top position but when you work with heavy strong keyword like car, cars it beomes unsure.I think no body can claim that he/she will do the trick.This is my notion.What are you thinking? Please share your thoughts here.
I dont want to say anything about caiming the exact positions but yes you can get the top rankings for any kind of keywords but you should have the enough resources to get the rankings....hope you understand that what i mean about the resources..
Number of quality links with proper anchor texts, quality on page optimisation, frequently crawling by SEs etc...
Yes, anything is possible in SEO. But as online_eye said, you should have resource as well as budget if you opt for SEO firm.
Requires huge money & efforts. After all we see the sites which are ranking on 1st page of google for the term "car"... If those sites can get the rankings then there is no doubt....
You can't guarantee anything in SEO, but if you're an SEO agency it would be fair to offer your client a guarantee on your results. ie. If we don't rank No.1 for 'key term' by 'x date' you will not have to pay anything. I see a few agencies doing this, but mainly on the more uncompetitive keywords.
celestialjones is right - there's no way you can guarantee results in google or yahoo serps - even for a low competition keyword, you may be pretty sure you'll get the result you want, but it's still someone else's site/search engine - you can't insist on what they'll put on it. What you can do as an agency or freelance seo-er is offer a money back guarantee, which is a slightly different thing, with this you're saying - if you don't get the result we predict we guarantee you'll get your money back.
Is not a necessary that ranking will in top ten particular competitive keyword, but possibility is maximally.
No one can guarantee top positions in search engine results knowing the fact that search engines, particularly Google, change their algorithms every now and then. When the rules change, the results follow.
Why the hell would you want to rank for that? And these "poor keywords" your talking about are in fact where all the money is, and you said "I think no body can claim that he/she will do the trick" in a way that's true. For a brand new site you'll probably never rank no matter what you do, but if you use a site like "GoArticles" and use Angela and Paul's backlink method, I can tell you it's almost guaranteed. Go to Google and type in "backlinks"...
You cannot guarantee something that you do not own and can not directly influence. Having said that, you can give Money back guarantee as opposed to ranking guarantee.
The real question is how long could you sustain that ranking using your tactics? Blackhats could do it but the lifespan of the number 1 spot ranking is pretty short.
I would be very hesitant to guarantee a specific ranking. You are better guaranteeing more exposure, IMPROVED ranking, higher quality traffic. Even if you were targeting the word "car", so are tons of other people. Some may have more money than you, more expertise, etc. And some may just be lucky enough to have something happens that propels them onto the national/international seen and suddenly millions of people are linking to them. A guarantee of exact positioning could be very problematic for you.
No one can guarantee number 1 on Google. Google is always tweaking their algorithm so that the best site for that keyword is on top. I have an SEO firm, and we tell our customers up front that no one can guarantee number 1 on Google. We then tell them the services that we provide, and why we think our services will work. We also give them a competitive report saying why we think "xxxxxx" is in the number 1 position, and what our customer needs to do to beat them. Being up front pays off, and we have seen good results by handling it this way.
