Hi all, Is it effective to advertise web hosting coupon related website on Ask.com? The average cost per click at Ask.com is much lower.
I was going to ask the same question, excempting the "web hosting coupons" statement LOL. Is Ask.com worth advertising on?
I guess its a nice option..I am currently using adwords but very soon I am planning to switch to facebook and ask as getting a lot of click fraud on adword.
I don't know about ask. But, due to the high cpc on google, I think about moving to smaller engines like Miva
^^ I wouldn't do that personally if you ask me. I haven't used Miva but its a second-tier engine and is said to have a bit of "garbage" traffic as one person put it. None the less, if you know how to use AdWords, you'll be successful. Keep in mind their not the only 1st tier PPC engine. You've also got Yahoo, Bing, MSN adCenter, etc.
It looks as though ASK is attempting to make a come back, so you might do well on here whilst the clicks are quite low priced
yes ask.com is an effective search engine u can try your luck there but why don't you try on adwords it is good than adwords.
It depends a lot on how competitive your keywords are. You'll need to do the cost benefit analysis yourself but as a rule... yes. Advertising on ask.com is a perfectly valid tactic. The cost is per click, after all. Why do you care who you paid for it? And while Ask.com's official estimate of their market share is overly optimistic (4.7% is bunk actually) their small following is very devoted and even if it's one half of 1% it's still worth doing. Let's do the math. Say for example my Adwords campaign costs me 30k a year and brings in 3000 sales worth 50 bucks each. Even if ask.com is only one half of 1% that's still 15 more sales for a measly 150 bucks (and I'll wager the ads on ask.com are actually a lot cheaper) worth 750 bucks in sales. That's another $600 for me. I may not but getting rich, but I think that will cover me for a days work setting up the account and 10-15 hours a year to maintain it. I can think of a few fun things to do with $600. And while ask.com does have a pretty weak market share, I'll guarantee it's better than 0.5%. My hunch is it's somewhere between 1.5 and 2.5%. So yes... for most businesses ask.com is something they should look at, but maybe not take too seriously.
