Is it difficult to get theme-related or one-way backlinks?

    Hello everyone!

I am trying to get theme-related or one-way backlinks of my gaming blog to other high PR sites and blogs. I contact their webmasters and still waiting for their reply, but some of them replied to me but they're not participating in the link exchange offer. I also finding difficulty on which I can trade them with unique published articles or press releases with a linkback to their site which most of them rejected my offer. Right now I only have one person responded to do link exchange with me that is live from a relevant gaming theme site.

I am also hired last time by a client for fashion-related and SEO blogs or sites to link exchange with them, but only 20% of the webmasters that I e-mailed responded back for a link exchange in a three-way, which my client don't want her blog to have outside links in her sidebar to make it clean, instead she use her other site to put the link of the one who put her link in the site.

What can I do? Are there any other ways to get one-way backlinks from theme related blogs or sites in an easy or fast way, especially if you are only hired to do it? Or is it difficult in normal, because I prefer to do it fast. Does it take a long time? Or there's another way to make it quick?

I need many and legitimate answers, coz' I want my gaming blog to increase it's link popularity in theme-related sites or blogs.

    Thank you.;)

ok, whilst you are waiting for them to reply, why not take part in some do follow gaming forums and drop your link in the sig, it will work and you wil get backlinks, wrtie a couple of articles on your niche and psot them to article directories you willg et one way backlinks that are very strong.

But what I did on e-mailing them for a 3-way link exchange or offering them an article or press release and submit to directories was right or wrong? Is this considered one of the good quality backlinks or one-way backlink strategy? Is it normal to just wait for the webmasters to reply.....for a long time?

I have never had much luck with link exchanges and I do not think it does squat for your SEO. You want to build links on high PR, related pages to your business or website that are do follow and permanent. There are thousands of blogs and forums out there that will let you build one way links. Just do a bit of research, and go from there.

No, you just need to create them yourself. Webmasters will do link exchanges though.

That means theme-related link building is useless? What about relevant link building? Are they the same thing? Multiple link exchanging is really a tough job because it takes time for them to respond in my e-mails. One-way permanent backlinks on article and PR directories are good enough on traffic? Even not relying on "keyword" thingy?

Article directory is the best to build one way relevant link, i always use ezinearticles to submit my articles. in my experience, about 10 or more articles are enough to sky rocket my blog post. (depending to the competition)

Forums are perfect for gaining links. Just contribute with quality posts and have a link in your signature.

Sometimes friends will be nice enough to put your link in the signatures of forums they participate in :)

I would look into forum back building... although Google is probably advanced enough to give less weight to signature links, it is still a great way to build a solid base of backlinks

A nice trick I've used is to type this into google - gaming + "your gravatar icon" works every tiem.

Agreed, it can be difficult to get your a link exchange with web masters. There are a number of options available to you: build your own network on sites (hard work but worth effort) or you could simply look for sites to publish good quality articles on (outside of the usual ezinearticles and goarticles sites). Try this search in G: "submit an article" +cars (obviously, change cars for your target sector). Write an excellent article, wait for it to be accepted then build links to the article.
