Hi, i thought bandwidth is 100mbit/s and data transfer is about how much data i transfer monthly. But cpanel returns error: So what is correct? how to name the speed of data flow and how to name amount of data transfered in one month?
You're correct. But......in hosting "bandwidth" is often substituted for what is really data transfer and this substitution is widely accepted. You'll know when what is what. When someone says 1000GB of bandwidth they really mean 1000GB of data transfer. When it comes down to it bandwidth is equally important but many people don't understand it and what the difference is. At the end of the day, there's not much point being provided with 1000GB of data transfer if you're limited to around 3mbps bandwidth (which would let you use almost 1000GB per month).
It can be used to term the same thing, however as above, bandwidth can be limited but the data transfer limit is set to how much you can use to transfer But a lot of hosts use it to term the same thing
