I had a site that was indexed but now it is not showing up on google anymore. Should I be worried or will it be reindexed again?

yup, it's called Google sandbox. New sites get listed in Google right away (in their sandbox), and then once it is established it goes back down.

Not sure why this happens (maybe to let new sites get feedback).

Or you could have done some blackhat stuff and were flagged (ie. keyword stuffing, hidden keywords, page hiding)

I thought the sandbox was when your site loses rankings, not when it gets deindexed. Am i wrong?

The Google Sandbox acts as a probation for new sites, probably to discourage spam sites from rising quickly, getting banned, and repeating the process. Thus the Google Sandbox is very similar to a new website being placed on probation whose rank is kept lower than expected in searches, prior to being given full value for its inbound links and content.

You say the site ranks lower during sandbox but does it get deindexed during sandbox?
