writing articles to spread over other platforms can help you in getting one-way links and position your rank better

 

Having some sort of unique/updating content on your site to pull new visitors is important, regardless of whether you write for other sites.

As far as writing articles for distribution, I have personally found the distribution engines to be a waste of time. The articles submitted tend to get picked up by garbage websites (keyword spammers) and have never done my search rankings any good.

As an alternative, I think it's a good idea to write good articles and then offer them as unique/exclusive content for particular websites (e.g. offer the webmaster of a higher PR site, or a popular blog the unique content, in exchange for a link back).

 

Well I got to say, I talk a lot about this stuff in my new package.

 

Write an article and post it to your site.

Then take that article, run it through the google translator and translate to Italian.

Translate it back to english and read through to clear up any crap.

Then take this new article and post that one out on the article directories.

This works amazingly well for me.

I prefer adding content and articles to my own site for the benefit of increasing the sites relevant content, as well as showing the search engines that content is regularly updated or added. Also, new content will generate traffic from search engines as many of your articles will pop up in serps. But just because I prefer to add content to my own site does not mean you shouldnt spread out among other article directories and submission sites. Do both, see what works better. Neither can hurt, unless you spam out and create duplicate content (which i dont think duplicate content hurts serps anyway)

 

My suggestion is to write article on already popular sites like ezine and goarticles and spread this link on your site which can able to provide good back links too.
