I am getting a website up and running in the next week or so and we want to start SEOing our site right away. The problem is that our products are seasonal(summer months). There is still traffic now, but do you think that this traffic may be different traffic then summer months? Anyone have any suggestions on which to run, or how important it is to PPC in the begining? What I have gathered is that in order to find keywords that will convert, we need to run a PPC campaign. I have over a thousand keywords and is there a certain formula for selection which keywords to test? Thanks everyone. Please help!
I agree that you should SEO first. It will take time for the search engines to recognize the changes and start rewarding you with organic traffic. Once you have that going, then move to the PPC campaign to help jumpstart traffic in the meantime.
According to me the SEO has to be done first to get visitors on site or the traffic to the site means best for the PPC and promotion of the products online or the getting business online that also improves the site's backlinks and PR. PPC is used for the advertisement and for the promoting the products. Thanks.....
Its not bad to run a PPC for your site but the main thing is to target the keywords so that it can be converted into business later.
You Should start Seo works first, But as you said your products are seasonal then you can also run PPC campaign which will help you to get targeted visitors for your products, but PPC campaign should be good like choose low bid keywords, low daily limit, brand promotion and seasonal offer in ads, don't make fake promising in your ads copy...
of couse seo first ,but if you don't care the money,the ppc is also can use.but the seo must do even you run a ppc.cuz the seo can help your site more better not only visitors & traffic ,it can make visitors feel more comfortable
PPC is good and instant option to drag visits to your site but costly while SEO long term solution for traffic and cost effective. You can use PPC if your site is new and you are in hurry but you can't use PPC lifetime for your site while SEO you can.
SEO is long term benefit where as PPC is time being and more expensive then SEO. You can promote wordl wide your website by simplly SEO where as if you need to popular your website World by PPC it also time being and much costiler then seo
when you get better opportunities at free of cost then utilize it properly rather going for investment.
