Is it better to sand box instead of waiting to Publish a site with more content? The senario would be; A. Go live with a site that has little content, and an empty forum. Content consists of 3-4 articles, 2-3 review articles, 1-2 miscellaneous pages. 10 pages of content max. Work for 6 months to achieve content equivilent of senario B. B. Go live with a more robust site. 5-7 articles. 10 review articles. 10 miscellaneous pages. 30 pages of content. Notes; My site will rely mainly on making $ from affiliate links. The forum is just a tool to attract people to the site. Which of the two choices will yield better buisness over short term (1-2 years) ?
The sandbox is an aging filter that applies to highly competive keywords and is based on the age of your site. The sooner you get a site up, the sooner the clock starts counting down. Adding some links as soon as possible is also something you should do. Basically, get your site up, improve on it, continue to build qualtiy backlinks, and forget about the sandbox because there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. Affiliate sites can be very difficult to rank for - original content is going to be the key. If you use nothing but free articles your site will likely get sent to supplimental results and never rank well.
yeah, I understand affiliate sites are junky, however my content will be 100% original and imo very usefull. (does a little bit of free content hurt a site? say 80% original, 20% free?) also, what are backlinks? I know i do not allow backlinks on my blogger site b/c when i read what they were, the defenition sounded like it spams other ppls sites @ the expence of my site. thanks for the info! ill try to get my site up as soon as possible
