I am going on holidays next week. I will not be able to moniter Adwords from my destination therefore I was thinking about lowering my daily cost for my ads down really low, say 10$ a day. My partner want to pause the campaign for the week. However, last time I paused a campaign, it never really regained the strength it had before (not as good positions & CTR). Did anyone ever have an expereicne with this? What is everyone's opinion on either lowering the daily limit or pausing the campaign?
I pause campaigns quite a bit and never really notice any impact on their performance when I reactivate them. That said though, I tend to just adjust budgets down when I know I'll be unable to check campaigns for a more than few days. It's better to get some AdWords traffic during that time than none at all
I never get problems also pausing campaign. I prefer to decrease the dailly cost so you at least do not get a blank gap in future reports. But one time I lower a site targetting campaing to 4$ per day and after 10 days a new site that I added to the list spent almost all $40,00 and had 3 clicks - so if you decide to pause to low, do it with stable ones
I have paused some campaigns for a couple of months and when I re-activated them I still had #1 ranking.
pausing is all i do, i got hundreds of campaigns and can't be bothered setting the budget down! Its either on or off for me!
