Better you add option to pay using other payment processors such as moneybookers,2co etc.

I think you should add AlertPay and LibertyReserve.

If your visitors from USA, Japan and Western Europe then PayPal would be enough.
To cover other countries you may use AlertPay.

With paypal you should also be able to accept credit card payments and this is regardless of whether your buyer has a paypal account or not. Paypal is still the widest accepted payment method and if you can have only one, paypal is still the best option.

Of course it will be better if you can provide more and more online payment processor but it is still OK if you already have paypal since paypal is most common used

You may miss the customer from some country like: Bangladesh, Pakistan etc. Because, the people of these country have no permission using paypal. So, you may use, plimus, moneybookers, alertpay, 2checkout, google checkout, LR etc. You may add payment processor as much as you can.It will be helpful for customer.

It really depends on your customer base. U.S based and tech savvy it is not such a big deal, but for other audiences you will want to include credit card payments as an option.

It would be helpful to know what you are selling. In any event, it's typically a good idea to have a merchant account. You'll save on transaction fees too.

If your site is not an affiliate site, you can add alertpay also for better sales. Because now it is very popular and easy.

Google checkout should be your IMMEDIATE STEP TO TAKE NEXT!!!!

Then move on with other places...at least w/ google people are confident, KNOW the place, can accept CC without an account, etc

Yes.. it is bad if you use ONLY paypal for recurring subscription...

Many people simply do not like creating a paypal account to subscribe to your product.. Many customers of mine have complained to me abt that...

In case of one time CC payments, paypal is good enough
