I prefer XP, since I'm more used to the tools and compatability is great. Vista has no large advantages, therefore I don't see much reason to upgrade.
i would wait still unless i get a new computer...alot of new bugs get fixes after every other day on vista...
I agree.. there should be no rush to upgrade to vista since it's not like it's offering anything that is really needed or vital to consumers. Sure, it may be better, but I'd rather be secure and slower.
As we moved from Win98 to WinXP , we will soon go ahead to Vista but personally I'm always going to be on Ubuntu.
i did try urbuntu but there's so many games that i couldn't play. and linux seems to use a lot of sudo command which normal user won't even understand. i'm also in the edge on change or not to vista..
Going back to the thread title it's like asking "is it bad not to buy the latest Mercedes-Benz?" Some of us may just not need it yet.
Vista is resource intensive, so if you don't have a min of 1 GB of RAM, it might crawl... As far as bugs etc' - it seems quite stable to me. XP is perfectly ok, but i would be upgrading (if you have the right hardware) My 0,02, Gili
Vista has some interesting usages of search in it, it may be useful to be familiar with the way computing is heading. But yeah, the bugs are pretty evident in the current version!
I see absolutely no reason to upgrade to Vista in the next 5-6 years.. And after that a much better solution would of been around... so the upgrade is a novelty at most
at the moment, vista is very buggy. If I were you, I will wait for the stable release or new versions.
Is it bad you don't use Vista. Yes, it is. How else is Bill Gates suppose to eat? Tell me how else is he suppose to travel the world? Or travel on his yacht? Please buy your copy of Vista and help Bill gates keep his life style. For 300+ you can do your share.
