Feedback Is it an Infraction Giveaway Event?

With all due to respect to the admins., mods. and the forum members, I think DigitalPoint is becoming too harsh on its members.

In one of my threads, I offered a few free review copies so that some true testimonials could be built for my offering to help me drive sales. All I did was thank the reviewers for giving their honest feedback. I did another thing in the same post: In order to drive sales, I just added some more content as part of my package and announced it. DP believes that the post had no value. I'd like an explanation.

I believe that the post was completely useful in order to help buyers decide if the new additional content motivated them enough to buy my product. Not only did I receive infractions, but my posts (including a few subsequent ones) were deleted.

Or, is the 'free marketplace' concept that DP protected so long nearing its end?

P.S.: Now, I want to announce about the additional content that I'm offering ('coz that post was deleted - unncessarily, I'd say). What do the Authorities suggest I do?

    Thanks...

Follow the rules and you wont get them.

I've not gotten an infraction since March or something, so I guess I didn't win the giveaway

this is your last infraction post:
here is the one before it:
    and the one before that:
    along with a sales picth.

you call them useful, i call them useless. you want to thank someone, send a PM.

make more posts like these and an infraction will be the least of your problems.

So, we aren't allowed to make "incremental" sales pitches on threads that allow us to sell products?!

Hopefully the recent change in default sort order will make these infractions and bans unnecessary.

Shawn (and moderators), please help me with this query. How do you suggest I offer a bonus to my buyers? I need to announce it.

    Thanks :)

Announce it as a special in your sig, linking to the original deal thread. For example, your sig could say $10 off XYZ, linking them to the sales details and original prices so they'll know what the discount is on.

Wouldn't people prefer to watch (confirm) the same on the sales thread page as well? Just asking what you think :)

    what do you mean "confirm"?
are you asking if they can make posts that are totally unnecessary?

confirm what, that they ordered something from you. who cares? you and them.

can someone post that your service was great and they got what they wanted?
    sure they can, i would.

Shawn sets the rules here. he is also the author of the FAQ/Rules

    and he has posted:

    this is done.
