Is it allowed for someone to send you advertising pms that you did not ask for?

Hi, I am new, so pardon the question, is it allowed for someone to send you a pm selling something, and you did not request the information?

I got a pm from a dp member today, but I did not request it.

I don't think it is allowed, if it is.. then probably everyone would spam their ads

I also have been receivng those annoying spammy PM's. What I don't understand is how a DP member could generate these messages and not know (s)he will be penalized.

Its not allowed. Just forward it to any mod and they will take care of the rest.

 

Foreword it to mods, and make sure you don't click on those links in the pm spam, could be a phishing attempt!

 

Nope it's not allowed and it's very annoying, forward the message to a mod and the user will be dealt with accordingly.

 

Spam is not allowed on DP and you should forward it to a mod.

 

I've received 2 already and I don't like it one bit. And seeing these answers it is not allowed.

It is not allowed here.Report the mod he will be BAN or he will get the infraction for that.
