Is it against the rules to use names of yahoo,google in domain name?

    I want to know whether a domain name can consist of names like "yahoo","google" etc in the middle or begining ? Is it unlawfull to use these names in the domain name??

    I think if the domain is against law, the domain registrars won't register the domain for you.

    For big-name hot-shot multi-million dollar corporations like Google and Yahoo, that won't be a very good idea...

    There is no law saying it's illegal to use a trademark in your domain name. But
    there are laws limiting their usages.

    Yahoo is a real word. You can use it in your domain as long as you don't associate it with the Yahoo brand or violate one of Yahoo's gazillion trademarks. ie OzarkYahoos.com might be OK.

    i have www.googlefr.eu and is a pr4 i bought it before a month and the pr is still there.Dont know how to developed allthought.
    i dont think there is any restrictions...
