This has been discussed, do a search.

No, not against the constitution, the constitution says congress shall make no law establishing an official religion, or banning any religion. It does not say oaths with so help me god in it are bad. There is no thinking about it, it spells out what is allowed and what isn't.

A new president would be within his constitutional right to refuse to include that phrase. It is entirely optional.

The phrase isn't a part of the official oath, but most presidents choose to say it anyway.

And they can't be stopped... as they have double 1st Amendment protection (Freedom of Speech & Freedom of Religion).

AFAIK presidents can have as much or as little religion in their cerimonies as they want. I suppose they could make it look like the crowning of Queen Elizibeth II.
