Hi guys, As you may have noticed, these days sites like ChaCha are offering people money to post links to their site and you then get paid for clicks. Other big social media accounts (a lot on Twitter) will tweet out links to sites with "Top 6" lists or "Kim Kardashian in yoga pants" links - I'm sure you know what I mean if you're a regular on Twitter. My question is this: If I were to create a site with popular content (while using Adsense) would it be against Google's rules to pay people to post links to my site? Here's two ways I was thinking about doing things: 1) The way ChaCha operates: they pay their members something like 0.01 cents per click on a link. 2) I'd pay someone with a large social media presence to post my links, but wouldn't pay them per click - I'd just give them a one-time, flat-rate payment to promote my site. Would either of the above be against Google Adsense's terms of conditions? I had a read myself but couldn't seem to find an answer. Thank you for your time
Yes and if detected will probably get you banned. Adsense require sites to comply with the Google webmaster Guidelines. Paying for links is against the Google webmaster guidelines.
Google has cleared stated in its guidelines that it doesn't favor paid traffic. It is again other bloggers who try to make quality content and try their best for getting organic search result. http://whytoblog.com
