Does anybody know if it's a good time to start buying Caffeine Domain names before Google officially rolls it out?
It's not a bad idea since caffeine can not be claimed as trademark. But should not include 'Google' in your domain name
Thanks for the advice...so I guess that implies you can't have Twitter or any other big name like that in your domain name...good to know!
You can use it, but whenever they ask you to drop it, you have to loose it. Here is a news about MyTwitterButler.com Twitter demanded that Collins stop using the company name in his app. The microblogging service also told Collins to deactivate the site MyTwitterButler.com and transfer that domain to the company. In addition, Twitter threatened to suspend Collins’ account and take “such steps as it deems necessary to protect its intellectual property rights,†unless he complies with the demands by Aug. 24.
"Caffeine" isn't just code name of their new algorithm? I think it will be just forgotten after they apply the changes to general SE platform
I agree. The general public, if they ever even hear the phrase "Google Caffeine", is probably just going to think it's some sort of coffee they feed their employees to boost productivity. As soon as they roll it out and it becomes the algorithm behind standard Google search results, it will be forgotten.
