I am a newbie for affilicate programs, now i encounter a strange problem during choosing a keyword, my keyword is "how to home solar", about 4400 search volume reported by Google keyword tool. but when searching this keywords plus quotes, the result is "Results 1 - 5 of 5 for " how to home solar". (0.30 seconds) " Only Five pages, in most cases a keyword has about 4000 search volume per month, when searching with quotes, usually have thousands of result pages. i have no idea about this, is it a Google bug? i need you help, thanks!
If you change the Match Type option in the Google keyword tool to "Exact" it shows 110 monthly searches for "how to home solar". The 4400 searches it shows for Broad Match will include all sorts of variations on the phrase.
The phrase "how to home solar" is grammatically wrong. I'm not surprised Google only finds 5 pages with that exact phrase.
